Campaign Partners

The logo is a product symbol for use on products and produce. There are however a number of organisations that wish to be associated with the campaign and make a corporate statement about their support for the ideals and ethos of the Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign. The AMCL board introduced the categories of 'Campaign Partner' and 'Campaign Supporter' for this purpose.

The Campaign would like to acknowledge the following Campaign Partners:

Bev Markszzz Australia - Supporting AustraliansBev Marks Furniture Australia is an Australian owned and operated company. With eight stores across Melbourne, it is a company that is proud of its ‘family business’ heritage.


Bev Marks was an inaugural Campaign Partner of Australian Made and has been committed to selling only Australian made beds, bedroom and household furniture since the company first opened its doors in 1989.

The business aims to combine a comprehensive range of the best in Australian made products with outstanding levels of customer service and value. Bev Marks believes in ‘creating jobs, keeping jobs in Australia and helping to create a future for all our families and their families.’

Harvey Norman Leading retailer, Harvey Norman furniture and bedding has recognised the importance consumers are placing on Australian made furniture and bedding products and has become a Campaign Partner of the Australian Made Campaign. “Harvey Norman customers look for quality when it comes to furniture purchases,” says Gerry Harvey, founder of Harvey Norman.

“The Australian furniture and bedding manufacturing industry produces high quality products and the easiest way to identify them is the Australian Made logo; so the campaign partnership with Australian Made is a great fit.”
 
QANTASQantas Airways needs no real introduction. Being Australia's national carrier and founded in 1920 Qantas is the worlds 2nd oldest airline. Today, Qantas is widely regarded as one of the world's leading long distance airline and one of the strongest brands in Australia. Qantas flies to 83 international destinations and 62 city and regional destinations within Australia.Forty Winks - where dreams begin

All Forty Winks stores showcase a vast collection of Australian made bedroom suites, ranging from stylish contemporary through to the more classic and traditional suites. With a huge range of bedding ensembles from all the biggest and best brands, the staff at Forty Winks provide the very best and most helpful information to take the confusion out of buying a bed. Forty Winks have 88 stores in all states and territories of Australia.

CAT - Underground MiningCaterpillar Underground Mining continues to increase exports on an annual basis by expanding into new markets, with an expanding product range designed, developed and produced at its Burnie operations. The company now employs around 650 people in Australia. Caterpillar was the 2005 recipient of the Australian Made Large Advanced Manufacturer Export Award.


AUSVEG is the organisation that represents the interest of Australian vegetable growers. AUSVEG vision is to develop a cohesive, market focused, profitable and environmentally responsible Australian vegetable industry.

ColesColes is a full service supermarket operating over 730 stores throughout Australia, employing more than 87,000 people. Coles aims to deliver value, quality, freshness and convenience to meet the everyday shopping needs of its customers. A major focus for Coles is to tailor store product ranges and concepts to meet the needs of local residents.

Coles is a strong supporter of Australian growers, purchasing around $2.5 billion of fresh produce and meat each year. In 2006, 97% of Coles' fresh food and 85 % of its grocery products were sourced from Australia.

Campaign Supporters

City of Ballarat

In addition, in 2006 Australian Made welcomed the City of Ballarat as its first Campaign Supporter. Ballarat is Victoria's second largest regional centre, with a cosmopolitan lifestyle mixed with the charm and heritage of the gold rush era. With its strong industrial base, Ballarat is a perfect fit for the campaign.

The City of Melbourne, capital of Victoria, with over 12,500 businesses is a thriving metropolis, a waterfront and entertainment centre, a world of charming heritage architecture, a centre for emerging and established art and a stylish shopping paradise

The Mornington Peninsula is located just over an hour's drive away from the city, on Melbourne's 'doorstep', and is often described as 'Melbourne's playground'. Mornington Peninsula Shire includes a total of 40 suburbs and localities, and has a population of approximately 132,000. 

Situated in the Wimmera region of north-west Victoria, the Rural City of Horsham is home to 19,000 people and the retail, business and service centre of the Wimmera. The Horsham Rural City Council joined the Campaign as a Campaign Supporter in early 2008.

AMCL plans to work closely with state and local governments as well as local business networking groups to spread the Australian Made, Australian Grown message.

Retail Supporters

Retail Supporters are smaller retail businesses who carry mostly Australian made/grown goods and wish to promote buying Australian to their customers. To become a Retail Supporter, these businesses must register with the Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign and meet the criteria as ourlined in the registration form. Only businesses who carry a minimum of 70% Australian made/grown stock and have a turnover of less than $5M may apply. Businesses with turnovers of more than $5M may apply to become a Campaign Partner.
